Sleep is one of the key pillars of our everyday lives. Our cognitive function depends heavily on the amount of sleep and overall rest we get. Sleep deprivation is regarded as a form of torture because of how unnatural it is, it's something we all do, quite like breathing. Next week is Sleep Awareness Week which is an excellent reminder that we need to prioritise it. It's not a nicety, it's a necessity.
