But it led to more trouble than she imagined and she took up a life of piracy on the tropical seas.Arna and the Pirates is a saga for children aged 6 and above. There is magic, there is adventure, there is realism. With strong female characters, these stories were written for my own daughter and now I share them with you, too. Be warned: while most of the endings are happy, it is a mean world the pirates navigate. it isn't always clear who is good or bad - there are betrayals, there is intrigue and people are fed to the King's tigers from time to time.
