Dev Diwali significance and remedies
Tuesday, 4 November, 2025

Dev Diwali — also known as “Diwali of the Gods” — is celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Kartik month, marking a time when the celestial beings themselves descend to Earth to celebrate the victory of light over darkness. 🌕🔥According to legend, it commemorates Lord Shiva’s triumph over the demon Tripurasura, symbolizing the ultimate victory of divine consciousness over ego and ignorance. On this sacred night, the Ganga and all holy rivers are believed to be illuminated with divine energy, and the heavens open to bless devotees with abundance, peace, and spiritual awakening. 🌊✨People light thousands of diyas along riverbanks and in homes, offering gratitude to the Gods, ancestors, and the cosmic forces that sustain creation. It’s also a time to purify the soul, let go of karmic heaviness, and invoke higher wisdom through prayer, meditation, and light. 🕯️💫
