Ghosts and Shadows: Systemic Inheritance(s) with Dr. J. Derek McNeil
Episode 4
Tuesday, 27 February, 2024
In this season as The Seattle School has been looking back at the first 25 years, Dr. Paul Hoard and Dr. Doug Shirley have been exploring what it means to live with the legacies and histories in our community, as well as how to engage with these proverbial ghosts and shadows—what we think about systemic inheritances in our community. Together in this series titled "Ghosts and Shadows," Dr. Hoard & Dr. Shirley examined the past and looked towards the future through three essays, posted on our website, and colleagues were invited to join in the conversation and share their reflections in a series of podcasts.  Dr. J. Derek McNeil, Provost and President, joined the podcast to share his thoughts on the "Ghosts and Shadows" essay series. Listen in as he shares his insights on our history, purpose, and identity, and the ways we connect with each other.
