Episode 20
Tuesday, 7 January, 2025

Richard Gerver is widely published on the subject of change, young people and education. He is in fact a former primary school head teacher and his wife and daughter are still teachers. Tim is the CEO of the Sandstone Foundation which is a charity which is set up top deliver workshops on resilience to young people in schools and youth organisations. He is a former intelligence officer and sometime adventurer. The current education system mis largely guided by tick box exercises, quotas and Ofsted reports. As a result have we lost sight of the outcome which is to inspire and educate young people in a way that prepares them for the real world future that they face? It is Tim's belief that more real world skills and experiences need to be added to the curriculum. We seem to be losing some of the basic yet essential skills of rapport building, communication and the ability to endure. in order to find out if his thought were real or a perception Tim went in seek of some experts. Enter Richard! We would really like you to get involved in the debate. Listen to the podcast and let us know what you think.
