In parashas Mikeitz, Judah responds to his father's concern forBenjamin's safety by saying: "Send the lad with me, and we will ariseand go, that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also ourlittle ones." Many commentators explain this to mean that Judah wasconceding the danger that the trip posed to Benjamin but arguing thatthe danger to the whole family of not going was greater.
