Its safeguarding week on the 21st to the 25th of June and the self advocates at KeyRing wanted to let people know about the work they have been doing to help people with learning difficulties keep safe from abuse. Last year they helped The Safeguarding Adults Board produce three Easy Read booklets on abuse which you can find here: https://safeguardingadults.co.uk/keeping-safe/easy-read-guides/ You can also ring 01609534437 if you would like to request copies of the booklets which are available in various formats. In todays episode we have Laura Watson from the Safeguarding Adults Board on the show to answer some of our questions on abuse and how to report it. Abuse is a very important topic to be aware of but it can also be difficult to talk about. If you are affected by anything said in the show please speak to someone you trust.
