Reigning Champions League winners PSG and reigning Conference League winners Chelsea meet again after their showdown in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final. Liverpool and Galatasaray will play out a rematch from Matchday 2 of the League Phase. City and Madrid, who met on Matchday 6 in Madrid, will meet in the knockout rounds for the fifth season in a row. Barcelona and Newcastle meet again after their encounter on Matchday 1 of the League Phase. Meanwhile, Bayern & Atalanta, Atletico Madrid & Tottenham, and Bodo/Glimt & Sporting will all play their respective opponents for the first-ever time in the Champions League. Finally, Arsenal and Leverkusen meet for the first time in a quarter-century in the Champions League.
