Coffee to Cover Letter

My name is Samantha Marin and I’m applying to the Wieden + Kennedy 2020 Brand Management residency in Portland Oregon. I spent the last year working as an Assistant Brand Manager in New York City and really falling in love with it. Being a Brand Manager you build relationships with makers and creators of each brand. You become an advocate for the voice and reputation of each brand you work with. I am here to advocate for myself. In managing a handful of brands over the last year, it got me thinking about more ways to show you who I am through my cover letter. Media is consumed in so many different ways, but one of the more personal ways, in my opinion, is podcasts. Spoken-word, conversations, ideas and opinions just hit a little differently when you can hear someone’s voice. So I decided to do exactly that, and present myself to you in the form of a podcast.
