Paul Pérez (AKA modus) is a music producer from Spain who has been active for 7 years as modus, and is quickly becoming an iconic figure in the melodic bass music scene. He also is the mind behind the musical saga titles “New Year Protocol,” which tells the battle of man versus the machine. This story is set to last 10 chapters, projecting a finale in 2025. With support from established artists such as Au5, Chime and Xilent, tracks on labels like SLANDER’s Heaven Sent and Chime’s Rushdown, collaborations with fellow up and comers like Sharks and Skybreak, official remixes for Ace Aura & Millennial Trash, and other achievements, Paul’s approach to music makes him a creator on the rise creating his own sound. In this episode, Paul and I talk about his recent collaboration with Skybreak and Miss Lina titled "Visionary", and also dive a little more into the New Year Protocol series, which will be releasing its 7th chapter in January 2022.
