This is a deeper look at how Jesus is not just correcting false swearing, but healing the fracture between our words and our lives.We also talk about how Jesus’ first hearers would have understood vows and God’s name, why there are no God-free zones in creation, and how truthfulness gets complicated in fear, conflict, unsafe relationships, people-pleasing, boundaries, confession, and everyday life. “Let your yes be yes” is not a call to harsh bluntness.
