Tracy talks about the Eastburn Family murders in North Carolina in 1985. Katie Eastburn and two of her daughters were brutally murdered while her husband was 500 miles away at an Air Force captain training school. Tracy goes through the rollercoaster of a trial, the second trial, acquittal, and the historic third trial with newly presented evidence. For research, Tracy referenced an article in The New Yorker called Three Trials for Murder and the book Innocent Victims: The True Story of the Eastburn Family Murders by Scott Whisnant.The cocktail for this episode is Cardinal Sin.
