In Episode 144 of Stick Talk Hockey, we start the show the way we always do, breaking down the biggest stories from around the hockey world. We dive into the coaching carousel with Bruce Cassidy out and John Tortorella stepping in, discuss Brad Treliving finally being relieved of his duties in Toronto, and talk about the Radko Gudas and Max Domi situation after Gudas’ hit ended Auston Matthews’ season. But this episode is different. After the news and hockey talk, we make an announcement that’s not easy to make. After four years, nearly 150 episodes, countless debates, drafts, rankings, and ridiculous segments, Episode 144 will be the last episode of Stick Talk Hockey. We spend the rest of the episode looking back on the show. Our favourite episodes, favourite moments, and how it grew into something we never really expected when we first hit record. Most importantly, we take the time to thank everyone who listened, supported the show, came on as guests, and helped make Stick Talk Hockey what it became.
