Join Matt Sienkiewicz and Nervana Mahmoud as they discuss religion and media. The frame their discussion around a NYT piece that was published a few weeks ago, describing a Muslim teen near San Bernardino who became he school's prom queen . For this episode, Matt and Nervana were joined by Former Ambassador Alberto Fernandez. Alberto is a current vice President for MEMRI, a washington-based think tank/translator, but was also a member of the army, as well as a former foreign service officer in the state department. Together, they discussed MEMRI, as well as the impact of IS and other extremist groups, and movements, on christian and non christian communities in the ME.
