March 8, 2026 - Drs. John McKellar & Todd Renner
Episode 351
Monday, 9 March, 2026

The word Christian literally means “belonging to Christ.” It’s a name we carry – a name we cherish. But if we’re honest, there are moments when the name fits more comfortably than the life: moments when our faith becomes selective, reactive, or thin. Moments when our habits tell a different story than our hymns. This series is not about pointing fingers outward. It’s about turning the mirror inward – gently, courageously, and together. UnChristian names the gap between who we confess Christ to be and how we sometimes live in response. Not to shame us, but to invite us…because God’s grace is never threatened by our honesty; in fact, it depends on it. Each week, we will confront a different distortion of faith: not as labels meant to define us, but as symptoms meant to diagnose us. Scripture does not expose these places to embarrass us, but to heal us. God names what is broken because God intends to restore it. This is a Lenten journey rooted in hope – the conviction that sin is real, but grace is stronger; that confession leads to freedom; and that God is far more committed to our transformation than we are. The goal of this season is not to leave us feeling worse about ourselves, but more awake to the mercy that can actually change us. Lent reminds us that the Christian life is not about managing appearances – it’s about surrendering our hearts. And sometimes, the most faithful thing we can do is to admit the truth… and trust God enough to let grace do the rest. “UnControlled” based on the scripture from Judges 15:1-5.
