James Mac Inerney is a professional make up artist. In this episode, James shares his career journey to date - from not really knowing what he wanted to do after sixth year, to working on Channel 4's This Way Up (written by/starring his cousin Aisling Bea), working on the Netflix feature film Rebecca, competing on BBC's Glow Up and collaborating with MAC Cosmetics. James shares some brilliant stories about how he landed some of these amazing jobs. He also tells us how drag has helped him to express himself, explore his identity and develop his makeup style and skills. James provides great tips for aspiring makeup artists on how they can develop their skills and get experience while still in school. He also gives great advice to final year students who may be struggling to figure out their next step.
