For One Child Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Worcester, MA that was founded in 2018 by Racquel T. Knight. Growing up in rural Jamaica, the Racquel noticed a fundamental problem with the schools she attended: a lack of seating. Schools could not afford to have enough desks for every student, so students would have to race to have a chair, and the remainder would have to sit on the floor or on their backpacks. For One Child aims to build durable chairs and desks until every child in Jamaica has a place to sit at school.
