15 Minute Daily Bible WalkVerse by Verse Through The Bible Author: Pastor Robert Thibodeau
This has been a project I have been contemplating for a long time. Join me in walking through the Bible on our personal Bible study - one verse at at time. There is no "preaching" here. Just simple scripture reading with brief explanations and examples of what the scripture mean. I was inspired to do this project based upon the program "Through The Bible" with Dr. Jay Veron McGee (who is passed on to be with the Lord for several years now). When I first started to study the Bible, his radio program helped me immensely. It took Dr. McGee 5 years to do a complete Bible Study. I do not know how long it will take us. But you can start listening at anytime. My goal is to create a new episode each and every day (365 days per year). Of course, "sometimes" life will get in the way (for many reasons). But I will pick it right back up where we left off (and try to catch up the days that were missed - to help keep us on track). As I continue to add more episodes, you can join us at the most recent program or start at the beginning. Each episode is labeled as to the scriptures we are going to discuss. I am so blessed you are here and I pray you will get a huge blessing as we join together in a "15 Minute Daily Bible Walk!" Amen! The Great Escape: Jacob and His Daughters
Episode 41
Monday, 10 February, 2025
The Great Escape - Jacob and His DaughtersToday, Pastor Bob Thibodeau looks into Genesis 31 and explores the drama between Jacob and Laban. Jacob decides to pack up and leave with his family after realizing Laban's attitude has soured. This episode highlights the theme of leaving behind what no longer serves you and moving towards a better future. The discussion also touches on the importance of reminding God of His promises during tough times. As Jacob prepares to face his brother Esau, he reflects on his journey and the challenges ahead.Takeaways: Jacob and his family decided to leave Laban because they felt they had nothing left there. Rachel stole her father's idols, which caused tension between Jacob and Laban. Laban pursued Jacob for seven days before God warned him not to harm Jacob. Jacob reminded God of His promises during his distress and asked for His protection. A covenant was made between Jacob and Laban, affirming they would not harm each other. Jacob showed humility by acknowledging his past actions and praying for God's mercy. Please subscribe to our podcast so you can have easy access to our program! This is a listener supported program!
