Revelation 22:11-12 KJV *- This is not an invitation to continuing right or wrong. It is a judicial declaration of who you are. *- There comes a point when Christ returns that a person’s character is permanently fixed. *- When there's no more opportunity for repentance, the righteous remain righteous, and the wicked remain wicked. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:11-12 KJV *- quickly: (by surprise) suddenly *- without any delay *- consistently expresses promptness—action that is not merely imminent but urgent and decisive—a verbal marker of divine insistence, underscoring moments when delay would compromise obedience. *- reward: recompense that appropriately compensates a particular decision (action)—good or bad. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matthew 25:10-13 KJV *- Are you ready to go back with Jesus when He comes? 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Matthew 25:10-13 KJV *- This echoes when Jesus will say to those who were not obedient, “I never acknowledged you as belonging to Me.” 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:10-13 KJV *- How do we watch? Are we watching? *- watch: give strict attention to, be cautious, active—to take heed lest, through remissness (carelessness, negligence, and a failure to do your job or duty) and indolence (laziness, idleness, or the avoidance of work and physical or mental exertion), some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one. Lifework Assignment: Ask, “Holy Spirit, help me to seriously and honestly examine my current relationship with God, repair where my side of the relationship is broken, and never fall back into selfishness again. Then, I can and will effectively help others mend and strengthen their relationship with God.” Expected Behavior: 19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20 KJV *- save: to deliver from the punitive wrath of God at the judgment of the last day *- death: metaphorically, the loss of that life which alone is worthy of the name, i. e. "the misery of soul arising from sin, which begins on earth but lasts and increases after the death of the body.” *- hide: to procure (obtain) pardon of them (sins) from God.
