Send us a textA lot happening this past week, you gotta love this time of year. Between Free Agent signings, trades and potential trades. Hot Stove is the perfect name. Just gotta touch base on a few things…Seriously… did you REALLY think the Phillies would let Kyle Schwarber escape? How could they? Even though I feel last year was the window of opportunity closing on THIS Phillies team to win, when you are 4th in the league with an average of 41,672 in attendance you are going to spend. Attendance for the league to me was pretty impressive for some teams, but we will get back to that in a bit. So, what do you think of Schwarber’s signing? Are you surprised? 5 Years - $150 million! $30 million per year. He is a better hitter now than ever before so I think he will be fine and productive. What I am surprised at was the talk that the Orioles AND Pirates supposedly made offers to Schwarber. That ALONE is impressive. Are we going to see the Orioles try and spend some money on the team? And the cheapest owner in the National League in the Pirates Bob Nutting is going to open the check book? This I gotta see.Join us for more...
