People were imagining the Middle Ages as a stinky, dark, cruel, and dirty ages. And it come to their minds images of open sewers, diseases, and distortions. However, Muslims in the tenth century enjoyed clean bathrooms, hygiene, and healthy practices that rival what we have today. Coffee, algebra, flight and chemistry are just a few things invented or advanced in these Dark Ages, too. Well talk in science language because Islam wasnt caught in this era. It was in the light and shining so, until blotted out and cast under the same history books that defined these times as the Dark Ages.
