Still Waters Behind The Poet takes an intimate look at the life, times and creative process of some of America's most storied poets.  In this episode the great Father Amde of The Watts Prophets speaks about young poets and artist vomiting up there ego in order to reach higher and deal with global concerns.   Father Amde Hamilton of The Legendary Watts Prophets  Father Amde and The Watts Prophets was the first to used the word "rap" in their 1971 album and title composition "Rappin' Black In A White World" and their hard hitting 1969 album "Black Voices: on the Streets of Watts" was named one of the top 40 groundbreaking albums of all-time by RollingStone Magazine.  Father Amde is a breathing link from the civil rights movement to the Hip-hop generation of today. This legend have been sampled by countless hip-hop artist and is accredited with being the forerunners to what is called rap today.
