Joshua Halstead

Joshua A. Halstead is a scholar working at the intersection of critical theory, design studies, and critical access studies. A recognized contributor to disability design discourse, his primary project is that of conjoining aesthetics and access to provoke questions about the conditions and possibilities of participation. Halstead has been an invited lecturer in academic and professional settings—from Stanford to Google—and is co-author of Extra Bold: A Feminist, Inclusive, Anti-Racist, Non-Binary Field Guide for Graphic Designers (Princeton Architectural Press, 2021).
