Sandy Davie is a former professional football player who's career started in 1961 and ended in 1983 durung which time he kept goal for Dundee United, Luton Town and Southampton (once, and it wasn't a good day)before leaving the UK for New Zealand where he played for the NZ national side. As a DUFC player he was right at the heart of some of the most important times in the history of the club and over the course of a Skype conversation from the bottom of the world he shared many great anecdotes and stories about life as a footballer in his era, being a Barca beater, his NASL experience and Wee Jum McLean - there is even a bit of Eric Morcambe in there...
