Southern Gothic Horrors are making a comeback in the horror community and this film in particular is centered on generational trauma, religious terror, and atmospheric dread. However, there’s nothing more terrifying than a mother who uncovers her deceased father’s dark secrets plus the evil behind it all threatens to finish what it started, putting everyone in danger. What an absolute honor and pleasure to sit down with the talented Italia Ricci!We spoke about her role in this twisted movie with the essence of religious and climatic horror. As the movie is being filmed, she explained the arc that her character experienced in the story along with the physical boundaries. However, there is that one line that her on-screen son says in the movie in which I believe that may have shocked the audience. You’re going to have to watch the movie to know what I am writing about. We also spoke about her roles as the Silver Banshee in Super Girl and her role as a White House employee in Designated Survivor (in which that point in the interview, I was being a nerdy fanboy). How will audiences connect with this movie? If you’re a single mother who would do anything in the world to protect your kid(s), then you will definitely have something to take with you after watching it.
