In addition to examples from Scripture (e.g., Psalms 39 and 131), Paul reads from a blog by Sharon Glasgow about the prayer life of Susanna Wesley (1669-1742), mother of 19 children, including John Wesley and Charles Wesley. Whether our lives are overly busy or prone to loneliness, whether full of extraordinary trials or mundane normalcy, the discipline of quiet time with the Lord in His Word and in prayer brings peace in the present and untold fruit in the future.
