Ireland Confidential: An 800-year-old castle ... and how about this weather?

Hello again from Dublin!This week, we discovered an old Irish castle turned into a golf resort and Ireland’s national pastime: complaining about the weather. (The full story is in the podcast.)Speaking of weather, here’s this week’s question: Tell us about the most unpredictable weather you’ve experienced in your travels. We’d love to hear your story in the comments.This is Kilkea Castle near Athy. It’s about an hour's drive southwest of Dublin. If you love to golf, but don’t mind a little rain, this is definitely the place to visit.A view from the second floor of the castle’s immaculate English garden. They also grow vegetables next to the hedges (on the right) and serve them to guests for lunch. So sustainable!There are ripening apples on the trellises that lead to the river. You almost feel like you’re in a fantasy novel.Ireland has been quite the adventure for us so far. The people are friendly, the weather is cold and rainy, but most of all, we feel very much at home.
