Yoder, an economic geographer whose teaching and research have focused extensively on economic development, transportation, international trade, and the economic relationship between the United States and Mexico.Dr. Yoder's scholarship has examined economic development and transportation across Texas and Mexico, including border regions, transportation corridors, ports, rail infrastructure, and the ways local and regional economies connect to the broader global economy.He is also the author of Geographical Scale and Economic Development: Lessons Learned from Texas and Mexico, published in 2023, which draws on case studies from both sides of the border to explore economic development at different geographical scales.Dr. Yoder is a returning guest to PoliTalk EDU, and I'm delighted to have him back as we discuss USMCA, tariffs, North American trade, and the political and economic questions facing the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
