Friday Chapel: Samson Second Chances
Friday, 14 November, 2025
f Samson and the theme of redemption and turning back to God, referred to as a "U-Turn." The first source is a formal, detailed teaching script for a youth session, offering a "Big Idea" that "It’s never too late to turn back to God," using the story of Dave’s Killer Bread founder Dave Dahl as a modern parallel before examining Samson's calling, downfall with Delilah, and final prayer from the Book of Judges. The second source is a transcribed audio of a lively, interactive group lesson where the teacher engages students in a "If you know, you know" guessing game and a fear survey before abruptly transitioning to the story of Samson, focusing on his Nazarite vow and the question of what constitutes true strength. Both scripts utilize Samson's life to emphasize that God is merciful and continues to work through people despite their significant failures.
