Es el sitio con huellas de dinosaurios más importante del mundo, ya que contiene más de 5.000 huellas de 294 especies. La ciudad de El Alto está ubicada a 4.150 metros de altitud y es una de las localidades más pobladas del mundo a gran altitud: en ella viven alrededor de un millón de personas. En el corazón del altiplano se encuentra el Salar de Uyuni, considerado como el más extenso del planeta con una dimensión de 10.582 km2 (superficie similar al Líbano). El Lago Titicaca, ubicado entre Bolivia y Perú, se considera el lago navegable más alto del mundo, a unos 3810 metros sobre el nivel del mar. En la Isla del Sol, la más grande del lago, se encuentran varios sitios arqueológicos, entre los cuales está la “Roca Sagrada” o Roca de los orígenes. Según la leyenda es donde nacieron Manco Cápac y Mama Ocllo, los primeros Incas, hijos de los Dioses del Sol y de la Luna. En Bolivia la bebida nacional es el singani, un popular licor elaborado a partir de la destilación de vino de la uva moscatel de Alejandría o Muscat de Alejandría. Bolivia es uno de los mayores productores mundiales de quinua. Este grano ancestral se cultiva en este territorio desde hace más de cinco mil años, en tanto el país ha llegado a liderar el ranking de mayor productor mundial. En Bolivia, sobre todo en la parte andina del oeste del país, a la población le encanta seguir las tradiciones de challar todo: el auto, la casa, el negocio. La definición de challar en el diccionario es rociar el suelo con licor en homenaje a la madre tierra o Pachamama. Otro significado es festejar con comidas y bebidas la adquisición de un bien. Bolivia es el hogar de una de las cinco especies de delfines que solo se encuentran en agua dulce. El delfín de río boliviano (Inia boliviensis), también conocido como "bufeo boliviano", es la única especie de delfines presente en este país.
