CAT Episode 208 - Kim Simmonds (Savoy Brown)
Episode 208
Monday, 12 January, 2026
Kim Simmonds stood among the world's greatest Blues Rock musicians. He founded and was the leader of Savoy Brown until his passing on December 13, 2022. Throughout the years Kim released over two dozen Savoy Brown albums and several as a solo artist, too. His wife Debbie Simmonds and friend Bob Schaffner join us to talk about the release of his book, Street Corner Talking, The Autobiography of Kim Simmonds that was released in January of 2026. They touch on several of the highlights of Kim's life and career. As a special treat, Ray White digs back in our archives and shares part of our interview with Kim, conducted in 2007, when we talked about Savoy Brown and then new CD release, Steel. Inducted into many Hall of Fames you'll also find his handprints enshrined at the Hollywood Rock Hall of Fame. Don't miss this jammed packed show from your friends at Classic Artists Today!
