Season 5, Episode 3: On hypnosis and cognitive art as a space of simulation
Episode 3
Wednesday, 3 June, 2026
On the third episode of Withstanding Podcast Season 5, artist and certified hypnotherapist Aapo Nikkanen is joined by artist and educator Flora Bouteille for an intimate conversation about the worlds that we can build with art. Working around the same themes in their practices, the artist couple explores the intersections of hypnosis, simulation, and cognitive artistic practices in performance and photography. The intimate conversation moves from the history of hypnosis through framing cognitive art to a broader question: what is the future of art in a world where everything seems possible?
