Lets talk business. Digital Health Business. --------------------------------------------------------- Arguably the most important setting stone for a great digital health company is identifying a true unmet business need and crafting an efficient solution to solve it. Israel has such an abundance of tech talent and technology can be a true differentiator. Still, without the business (and clinical) angle there is a good chance it will become a hammer looking for a nail. Under that notion, we at Arkin Digital health decided to launch a new miniseries of interviews with industry leaders, coming from different parts of the US healthcare ecosystem, hopefully, to provide Israeli entrepreneurs, investors, and the Israeli healthcare community insights on the business side of digital health. Bitesize interviews with one goal to provide concrete value to hopefully push more Israeli companies to penetrate and expand in the US healthcare market. In this episode, we had Yael Glassman with us. *** Please note this episode is in Hebrew **** Yael experienced digital health M&As both from the acquired side as the CEO of Nutrino (acquired by Medtronic in 2019) and following the acquisition as VP of BD and Strategy, Diabetes at Medtronic, where she leads investments and acquisition on behalf of the company. Before Nutrino, Yael spent more than a decade in senior BD and marketing roles in companies like Amwell, CareKey (also acquired), and Sensible. In our conversation we tried to understand better the consideration of strategic players like Medtronic in acquiring companies, what Yael was surprised to learn, and what entrepreneurs should take into consideration to improve their chances for acquisition – even from the company formation and specifically when a potential M&A process commences.
