The Hall of Famer That Wasn't: Rafael Palmeiro
Wednesday, 16 September, 2026
The Hall of Famer That Wasn't: Rafael Palmeiro He's one of only four players in baseball history with 3,000 hits AND 500 home runs. He was a five-time All-Star, a Gold Glove winner, and a lock for Cooperstown by every statistical measure. So why did Rafael Palmeiro fall off the Hall of Fame ballot with barely a whisper of support? This week, Kenny breaks down the rise and spectacular fall of one of baseball's most polarizing careers. From his quietly dominant years in Texas and Baltimore, to that unforgettable finger-wagging moment in front of Congress, to the positive steroid test that came just months later — Kenny digs into how Palmeiro went from a near-unanimous Hall of Famer on paper to a cautionary tale about legacy, trust, and the steroid era that swallowed a generation of stars. Is Palmeiro a victim of Hall of Fame voters holding a grudge? Does he belong in Cooperstown on numbers alone? Or is this exactly how the story should have ended? Kenny gives his take on one of baseball's strangest what-could-have-been careers. 🎙️ Tune in for stats, stories, and Kenny's unfiltered opinion on the Hall of Famer that wasn't.
