Commanders Maintain Confidence in Shifting Offensive Line
Wednesday, 9 September, 2026
Washington Commanders' efforts to stabilize their offensive line following several significant injuries and roster shifts during the 2026 preseason. Despite the loss of star tackle Laremy Tunsil to a torn triceps and early training camp absences from center Nick Allegretti, team leadership remains publicly optimistic about the unit's depth. The text highlights how players like Brandon Coleman have been forced into new roles to maintain protection for the offense. Head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Adam Peters emphasize that while the current lineup was not the original plan, the return of key starters to practice provides a timely boost. Ultimately, the team is focused on building chemistry and communication as they prepare for a challenging season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
