Apparently, I was a personality hire before personality hires were even a thing. 😂This week on THIS & STFU, we're taking a little trip down memory lane to my early career, including the job I DIDN'T get because I wore open-toed shoes to the interview (and how I managed to get hired anyway). Turns out, being a bubbly bitch with a little grit can take you places.We're also discussing my lifelong overachiever tendencies and my latest fantasy: swapping lives with a stay-at-home mom who has a husband bringing home the bacon. 😂 Not because I think the grass is greener, but because I'm CURIOUS. What would it feel like to lean all the way into my soft girl era and let someone else worry about the bills for a minute?!Meanwhile, my brain is still operating exactly as it did in my college dorm room in the '90s, when someone would suggest a card game with complicated instructions and I'd immediately shut down. Apparently, some things never change. Especially when a brand sends me seven rounds of edits.And can we PLEASE discuss why UBE IS A FUCKING ROOT VEGETABLE?! Because I'm still personally offended that Chobani put it in my coffee creamer.Plus, it's Halloween week, and I'm making a conscious effort to stop doing ALL THE THINGS and actually enjoy the season before it's gone. We're talking cozy fall nights, apple nachos, Dancing with the Stars, pumpkin everything, and all the little traditions that make this time of year feel special.Basically, a little nostalgia, a little self-reflection, and a whole lot of unnecessary commentary.No experts.
