WE WORKED TOO HARD FOR YOU TO QUIT NOW!
Wednesday, 30 September, 2026

We Stood Through It So You Can Thrive Paul had poured himself into the believers at Thessalonica. He had taught them, encouraged them, and laboured for their faith. But when affliction came and the tempter pressed them, Paul was deeply concerned that all that labour might be in vain. "For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain." 1 Thessalonians 3:5 KJB Timothy returned with good news. Their faith had held. Their charity remained. They had not quit. That report brought Paul to one of the strongest statements in the passage: "For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 3:8 KJB The Christian life is not a call to quit when the pressure comes. Others have prayed for you, taught you, invested in you, stood beside you, and laboured for your faith. The tempter would love to make that labour appear wasted. But the answer is to stand fast in the Lord. We stood through it so you can thrive. Join Pastor Ed Decker at Arnold Baptist Tabernacle for this message from 1 Thessalonians 3:1-8: "We Worked Too Hard for YOU to Quit Now!"
