Coloniality refers to the enduring effects of colonialism on various aspects of society, including economic, political, cultural, and social systems. It refers to the ways in which the legacy of colonialism continues to shape and influence the world we live in today. Coloniality can manifest in a variety of ways, such as through ongoing power imbalances and unequal distribution of resources, cultural domination and assimilation, and the maintenance of colonial borders and systems of governance. It can also be seen in the way that colonial histories and narratives are often privileged and valorized, while the histories and experiences of colonized peoples are often marginalized and erased.
