She is currently completing a BA in Comparative Islamic Studies and is a student of Maliki fiqh. She is also a qualified Quran tajweed teacher.She became passionate about Islamic education during her time at medical school, during which she served as President of the University of Sheffield Islamic Circle society. She remains an active member of her local community, teaching children at a local madrassah, and delivering circles to teenage girls and women.She leads the Onsite Program at Roots Academy, which delivers foundational Islamic education to university students across over 50 campuses globally.
