Rebecca Zahau menehtyi kuuluisalla Spreckles-kartanolla Coronadossa Yhdysvalloissa vuonna 2011. Vain pari päivää aikaisemmin Rebeccan miesystävän 6-vuotias poika Max oli joutunut samassa kartanossa vakavaan onnettomuuteen Rebeccan vahtivuorolla.
