How shutting down of schools has adversely affected mid day meal policy in schools?

India is tackling the pandemic with the weapon of a nation -wide lockdown. Subsequently, all the schools have been shut down. The Mid-Day meal scheme that feeds the under-privileged has not been able to continue to provide the much needed free lunches to the 6-14 years old kids. Peculiarly, during the times of such food insecurity, shortage or complete absence of such meals could have serious implications on children’s diets.
