A life epiphany - Jordan-Laine Calder
Episode 8
Thursday, 23 July, 2020

Our guest this week, Jordan-Laine Calder, from being a conservation biologist to now educator, shares the ins and outs of her unusual yet very exciting career path and story. She speaks about what inspired her choice to study at UCT, how she landed her first job through a spontaneous meeting in the middle of bush (of all places!) and how she was snatched up and thrown in the deep end of Wildlife Film directing. She shares about how life then lead her back into the world of Academia and how an epic trip to Morroco, had her making some big and bold decisions that essentially lead her to exploring the magical world of teaching and education. Grab yourself a cuppa, settle into a comfy spot, because this episode is sure to be a wild ride!
