Episode 267 - Jason Paige
Monday, 2 November, 2026
We’re going back to where it all began with a very special guest on Major’s Mess Hall! This week, Gavin and Chris are joined by the incredibly talented Jason Paige, the man behind the original Pokémon theme song and, quite literally, the voice of a generation! Jason takes us on a journey through his incredible career, sharing how he first got started in the music industry, his experiences working alongside legendary names like Michael Jackson and Aerosmith, and the story behind recording one of the most recognisable theme songs in pop culture history. We chat about his ongoing tours, meeting Pokémon fans around the world, performing the iconic song that millions grew up with, and he even shares some vocal tips and tricks. Plus, Jason opens up about fame, staying grounded and what it's like to have a song become such a huge part of people's childhoods. Whether you're a lifelong Pokémon fan, a lover of 90s nostalgia or simply curious about the man behind that legendary voice, this is an interview you won't want to miss! Gotta catch this episode!
