Today Meta agreed to a huge settlement of nearly $18 billion and that is where we start today. This is The Business News Headlines for Wednesday the 26th day of August, thank you for being here. In other news, Wall Street had a sluggish day. Inflation continues and we’ll share the numbers. The U.S. economy grew at just 1.5% in the second quarter, well below expectations but consumer spending rebounded. That rebound in spending amounts to a credit card warning sign and we’ll explain.
