LIVING IN COMPASSION
Episode 34
Saturday, 15 August, 2026
Send us Fan MailCompassion can sound like a soft word until you realize the Bible treats it like a spiritual standard and a life-or-death practice. We open with God’s promise in Isaiah 49:10 and a prayer that God gives us hearts shaped by mercy, because we believe compassion is one sure way to push back evil and bring light into real situations. From Hebrews 5:1–5, we talk about why compassion belongs at the center of Christian discipleship. Compassion is not just feeling sorry for people; it is a deep response that turns into practical action, forgiveness, and help for those who are struggling. We walk through key scriptures like Exodus 34:6–7 to show compassion as God’s nature, then connect it to the way Jesus moved toward people in need. When Jesus looked at the crowds and felt compassion (Matthew 9:36), it wasn’t sentimental, it was the spark that led to provision, healing, and restoration. We also ask a direct question: what happens inside us when we see someone else’s pain?We then press into what compassion looks like as a daily lifestyle: loving beyond our circle, choosing mercy over empty rules, and letting the world recognize Christ through our love (John 13:34–35). Finally, we bring it home with Matthew 25:35–40, where compassion for the hungry, thirsty, sick, and imprisoned is treated as compassion offered to Christ himself. If you want your faith to be visible, durable, and real, this message will give you a clear biblical framework and a practical challenge.Subscribe for more teachings, share this with someone who needs encouragement, and leave a review to help others find the podcast.Thank you for tuning in to the Voice of Trinity by Benjamin Olamijulo!Praise the Lord!
