Jeanna Hoch - The CannaMama
Episode 2
Thursday, 1 October, 2020

Jeanna Hoch, of Denver, CO, fondly nicknamed "THE CannaMama" by the supporters of her movement, coined the term "cannamama" in her 2015 blog post which went viral after it was published by Ladybud Magazine. (Unfortunately, the online magazine no longer exists, but you can still access the article by subscribing.) Hoch is the founder and manager of CannaMama Clinic, a consultation and coaching firm focused on cannabis advocacy and female wellness. With 25 years of seasoned cannabis consumption, advocacy, and sales expertise, Jeanna brings a level of credibility, dedication, and passion to her abilities as a trusted adviser and consultant to today’s cannabis consumers. Currently, Jeanna has made a commitment to fight for sex-based rights in school policies, because she says by adding “gender” and making gender undefinable undermines all diversity-based women’s rights. Pregnancy and childbirth are also associated with diversity-rights for women and there are many examples where the language of “women” is disappearing in educational and health contexts for fear of discriminatory language, and being replaced by “menstruators”, “people who are pregnant” and “chest-feeders”. This demeans women and removes the unique and biological reality of women. Laws have been passed in a number of states that will result in the most vulnerable groups of women–those escaping male partner violence, experiencing homelessness in shelters, or women in prison, having to share intimate congregate spaces with males. These women are poor, disproportionately women of colour, and many have been victims of sexual and physical violence by men. But, yet, women’s needs for privacy and a safe refuge from male violence and the ability to establish boundaries are being run roughshod over by an ideology that re-defines “women” and “men” as a set of stereotypes that a person of either sex can claim. Jeanna is a true hero, feminist, and Canna activist with a wealth of knowledge. Join her in her fight by donating to her legal fund, or if want more information about her services, please contact Jeanna directly at: cannamamaclinic@gmail.com or https://givesendgo.com/jeannahoch
