Help me improve my screen time
Episode 1
Wednesday, 14 January, 2026
Nearly all phones these days will tell you your average screen time. That is, how long you are using your phone for each day. Over the last week, how long did you typically use your phone for each day?Was it longer than you expected it to be?Is it for a longer period of time than you would like to be using it for?If you were using your phone less, what would you like to do with all of that extra free time that you now have?Exercise more?Engage in your hobbies more?Socialise with your friends or family more?Clinical Neuropsychologist Dr Harvey Jones interviews Clinical Psychologist Dr Damon Ashworth on screen time for adults, when is it problematic and when it isn't, and what we can do to lower it if it is higher than we would like it to be.Normally, we'd suggest you to share it with people who may benefit, but potentially the better thing is to try one of the suggestions if you yourself are using your screens more than you want to be. Or book in to see a psychologist to explore the issue more if needed.
