Would Someone Want to Know God After Meeting You? | Bishop Gerasim
Monday, 19 October, 2026
Send us Fan MailWhat if the way we treated others made them want to know God?In this homily, His Grace Bishop Gerasim reflects on Christ's commandment to love our enemies, do good without expecting anything in return, and become merciful as our Heavenly Father is merciful.Through the Gospel and a remarkable account of an Orthodox Christian imprisoned under communism in Romania, Bishop Gerasim challenges us to move beyond ordinary morality and embrace the transforming love of Jesus Christ. In a world increasingly divided by fear, hostility, and distrust, Christians are called to something greater: to become living witnesses of God's mercy, so that those around us might encounter Christ through our lives.“We live in a world hungry for the mercy of God.”This homily was delivered during the 30th anniversary celebration of St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Macon, Georgia, on October 4, 2026.Due to technical difficulties with the original recording, this presentation features a separately recorded narration of His Grace's homily accompanied by photographs from the celebration.Christ is in our midst!#OrthodoxChristianity #EasternOrthodox #BishopGerasim #OrthodoxChurch #OCA #LoveYourEnemies #ChristianLove #MercyOfGod #ChristianHomily #OrthodoxFaith #JesusChrist #OrthodoxSpirituality #ChristianLife #Forgiveness #ChristianWitness #GospelOfLuke #Repentance #StInnocentOrthodoxChurch #ChristianTeachingWebsite @ https://www.st-innocent.orgInstagram @ https://www.instagram.com/st.innocentchurch/Facebook @ https://fb.me/SaintInnocentMaconGeorgia Help Support St. Innocent Orthodox Church @ https://onrealm.org/siocmacon/-/form/give/now
