Episode Six - First Episode of 2023!
Episode 1
Sunday, 23 April, 2023
GUESS WHO'S BIZZACK!!! The State of the Diaspora crew are proud to publish this, our first podcast episode for 2023. We took a bit of a hiatus to reorganize and retool, and we're better than ever. We'll be launching new episodes on a monthly basis for the rest of 2023. This episode consists of two segments. The first is a group discussion of the Nigerian elections - what happened, and what needs to happen going forward. As you can see, opinions vary widely on both questions, but this group is (in my humble opinion) unmatched in the level of insight they provide and the eloquence with which they make their respective points. After that heavy discussion, we go into our second segment - a discussion of all things Afrobeats, with a focus on and review of Davido's new album. I hope you enjoy it. We certainly did - so much so we were compelled to publish a companion Afrobeats playlist on Spotify! It can be found here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6MJ4meOEMr02VUYAldi8Vk See you in a couple of weeks, when we take on two very contentious topics: The rise of Artificial Intelligence, and the optimal cooking temperature for steak.
