Faint Not
Wednesday, 4 November, 2026
This sermon encourages believers to persevere in well-doing despite weariness, emphasizing that the reward comes in due season if one does not faint. The central message identifies several causes of spiritual fatigue, including disobedience, unrealistic expectations of an easy Christian life, misinterpreted divine chastisement, perceived injustice, and a lack of faith. Drawing from Leviticus, Proverbs, Hebrews, Ephesians, and Psalm, the text argues that the Christian life is a battlefield requiring soldier-like endurance and trust in God's ultimate justice and love. The preacher urges the audience to adjust their expectations, view suffering as a means of growth, and maintain their focus on Christ rather than human recognition or immediate results. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a steadfast commitment to serve God with joy and faith, trusting that He provides the strength to run the race and receive the eternal reward.
